Who doesn't want good food fast? Jacques makes everything he cooks look so easy, fast and makes one think, "I can do that". I've watched him on PBS and have never seen a show in which I did not like the end result of his genius recipes. He makes things that I might not particularly think I would like look good. Therefore, I purchase his books, hoping some of his experience will rub off on me. I have not found one of his books that I did not like either, but it is more entertaining watching him prepare the food. Ah, Jacques. I've loved watching his shows for years. So many of the things I've watched him make from this series looked delicious and quick to make, so I bought the book. I am an avid and experienced cook, and a bit too much of a perfectionist, so I am hard to please when it comes to food. So far everything I've made from this book has been delicious, and in the case of the Savory Mini Cheesecakes, mind-blowing! The recipes are very easy to execute, even for a beginner (which is not the case with all of his books), and mostly use the kind of things you might already have on hand. Lots of lovely pictures to whet the appetite as well. Very glad I bought it and plan on making all the "minute recipes" for quickie noshes with Friday nite cocktails!
